INDONESIA: LOT of 17 interesting tin pitis, including Aceh: 5 pieces, all with bandar aceh dar al salam // masruf, two dated AH1260 (Millies-153), two without legible date, and one with retrograde reverse dated "8221" (Millies-); a very nice group with 4 above-average pieces with clear inscriptions; Samudra Pasai: 10 tin pitis of Ahmad II (ca. 1326-60), all with mu`iz al-din // al-sultan al-`adil, unpublished in any standard references, average circulated grades; and Cheribon: 2 extremely rare tin pitis, one with CHERIBON and VOC monogram around circular hole (Millies-118, crude F-VF, some corrosion, small casting holes), the other with faint traces of CHERIBON (cf. Millies-120, crude Fine); retail value $500, lot of 17 pieces.
