CEYLON: Gajalakshmi type, 1st century BC/AD, AE round unit (13.93g), Anarudhapura region: the goddess Lakshmi clad with a broad torso and wearing ear rings, standing on large lotus pedestal with the lotus plant rising to the left, Purna-kalasha standard to right // complex symbols representing Seshnag (serpents); appears to be unpublished, Fine to VF, RRR. The Lakshmi series is normally vertically rectangular. The round version is extemely rare.
