George I silver "Order of the Bath Revived" Medal 1725-Dated MS61 NGC, Brockmann-827, Eimer-501. 46.4mm. By J. Croker. Obv. Garlanded bust right. Rev. George I's four-year old grandson, Prince William, the Duke of Cumberland, stands in the garb of the order's great masters. Mottled toning mixes with swathes of understated coloration that glistens over select areas of the devices. Around the peripheries, charcoal toning encases the more argent areas of the fields, particularly on the obverse. The Most Honourable Order of the Bath is a British order of chivalry founded by George I in 1725. From the Abbeygate Collection of British Medals
