Female figure standing, holding caduceus and key, before open doors of the crystal palace, lamb and helmet at her feet. Rev. View of the crystal palace. Skillfully rendered by the engraver and exhibiting a palate of color more frequently seen on silver, this large specimen makes a splashy first impression. More careful scrutiny reveals the presence of stain spots on both sides of the Medal which ultimately do little to hinder the overall visual appeal. From the Abbeygate Collection of British Medals
