Hadrian. A.D. 117-138. AR denarius. 3.11 gm. 18 mm. "Travel series." Rome mint. Struck A.D. 130-133. His bare head right; HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P / Nilus reclining right, holding reed and cornucopiae; hippopotamus to right, crocodile in water below; NILVS. RIC II.3 1544 (RIC II 310). RSC 991. Near Extremely Fine; attractively toned, with slight irridescence; well struck and attractive.
