CAPPADOCIA, Caesarea-Eusebia. Macrinus, with Diadumenian as Caesar. AD 217-218. Æ Double Unit (36mm, 30.51 g, 12h). Dated RY 2 (AD 218). Confronted busts of Macrinus right, laureate, draped, and cuirassed, and Diadeumenian left, bareheaded and draped; c/m: radiate head (Helios?) right within incuse circle / Mt. Argaeus surmounted by statue; [star and crescent in upper field]; at base of mountain, tetrastyle temple between two agonistic crowns; in exergue, NЄΩΚOPOV/ ЄT B (date) in two lines. Ganschow, Münzen 668; Sydenham, Caesarea 507. Porous brown patina, a few small scrapes. Good Fine.
