Commodus. AD 177-192. AR Denarius (17.5mm, 2.86 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck AD 187. Laureate head right / Commodus as Pater Senatus (Father of the Senate) standing left, holding branch and transverse scepter. RIC III 157; MIR 18, 734-4/30; RSC 397. Dark toning with some iridescence, some porosity and scratches. Good VF.
