Government of the Straits Settlements, a hand-executed essay for the $1000 of 1916, 1 March 1916, serial number A/1 00000, green and brown, tiger and crowned head of George V in brown tablet at centre, value at low left and right, signatures of Kinnersley, Merewether and Anthonisz, interestingly the signatures have been replicated from the issue of 1900, multiple annotations and instructions by the De la Rue printers and date 'Nov 4th 15' top right, with tracing paper overlay that can be folded back to see the design clearly, as produced, unique and a striking essay
