LUCANIA. Herakleia. Circa 276-250 BC. Nomos (Silver, 21 mm, 6.69 g, 11 h). |-HPAKΛEIΩN Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet decorated with a griffin. Rev. Herakles standing left, holding jug in right hand over lighted altar at feet, and club and lion's skin in left; to right, thunderbolt. HN III 1433. Van Keuren 136 (same obverse die). Well centered and struck. Very fine.
