Newfoundland. Victoria Specimen 5 Cents 1870 SP63 NGC, London mint, KM2. Reeded Edge. A very rare Canadian Provincial issue that is the sole example certified by NGC, and PCGS has only certified a single SP64 example. That PCGS SP64 (Belzberg) example represents the only other modern auction record of this type. This offering, though only evaluated at the Choice Mint State level, is fully brilliant and prooflike. Practically untoned, this beauty is beaming with snow-white luster and general radiance. A few light areas of scattered surface contact do little to diminish the overall top-notch appeal of this rare little treasure.
