M. Junius Brutus, 54 BC. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.65 g, 9 h), Rome. LIBERTAS Head of Libertas to right, wearing pendant earring and necklace. Rev. BRVTVS The consul L. Junius Brutus, preceded by an accensus, walking left between two lictors, each carrying fasces with an axe over his left shoulder. Babelon (Junia) 31. Crawford 433/1. Sydenham 906. Nicely toned. Flan crack and two scratches on the obverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
