George II and Queen Caroline, Coronation, 1727, silver medal, by J. Croker, a 'mule' type combining the obverses of the official individual medals struck for the King and for the Queen, one side with the King's laureate, armoured and draped bust left, the other with the Queen's robed bust, wearing bandeau, left, 35mm, xxg (cf. MI II/479/4 and II/480/8; cf. Eimer 510 and 512; cf. Wollaston 12 and 14), struck on a comparatively thick flan, a couple of minor marks, generally extremely fine with light, even toning, a rare die combination
