Licinius I (308 – 324). Aureus 316, Siscia. NGC CH MS 5/5 5/5 (6636337-001).
Av. LICINI - VS P F AVG. Buste lauré, drapé et cuirassé, à droite.
Rv. IOVI CON - SERVATORI. Jupiter nu, debout à gauche, avec la chlamyde derrière lui, tenant une lance et une petite victoire qui le couronne. Derrière lui X et à ses pieds, un aigle tenant une couronne dans son bec.

Avec le buste cuirassé et drapé, cet aureus semble inédit ! D'une grande fraîcheur avec les champs à peine brunis, qui donne un grade technique proche de la perfection ! Fleur de coin.

Rev. IOVI CON – SERVATORI. Nude Jupiter, standing, facing left, chlamys behind him, holding a spear, a small Victory crowning him. Letter X behind him and, at his feet, an eagle holding a crown in its beak.
RIC.- (cf.VII/18) - Calicó - (cf. 5108a) ; Gold – 5.35g – 20mm – 6h.
NGC CH MS 5/5 5/5. With the cuirassed and draped bust, this aureus seems to be unedited ! Very fresh, with some barely browned fields, which gives the coin a technical grade close to perfection. Uncirculated.
