BRUTTIUM. Laos. Circa 350-300 BC. AE (Bronze, 17 mm, 3.64 g, 1 h), under the magistrate Vibius. ΛΑΙ Head of Persephone to left, wearing pendant earring. Rev. Crow standing to left with closed wings; above left, wreath between ϹΙ - ΒΙ; in the field to left, crab. BMC 18. HN III - (but cf. 2299, with the crab as a type rather than a symbol). SNG Morcom 272. Rare. Clear and with an attractive green patina. Some minor corrosion pitting, otherwise, good very fine.

It is suggested, HN p, 75, the letters on the reverse may stand for the Latin name Vibius.
