SICILY. Akragas. Circa 400-380 BC. Countermarked Hemilitron (Bronze, 26.5 mm, 17.30 g), countermarked on a worn flat hemilitron of Akragas with obliterated types. On the original obverse, countermark of a crab facing above a large shrimp to right; all within a circular indent. Buceti 174. Calcati 99 CM. A surprisingly attractive and pleasing example, with a clear and nicely centered countermark and with other surfaces encrusted as found. Countermark: nearly extremely fine/Coin: fair.
