Victoria, proof 'Gothic' crown struck in pure silver, 1847, crowned bust left, rev. crowned cruciform shields, plain edge (S.3883 for type; ESC.2579), certified and graded by NGC as Proof-64 Cameo, medium golden grey toning, a choice example of this unusual rarity rated R6 in Bull/ESC, a mere handful known compared to the mintage of 8,000 coins of the standard type and fineness having a lettered edge
The only one graded as Proof-64 Cameo by NGC, none higher.
In the cataloguers opinion this seems harshly graded. We have seen many graded 65 and 66 that compare to this.

Estimate: 30000 - 40000 GBP
