Urho Kaleva Kekkonen was a Finnish politician who served as the Prime Minister of Finland between 1950 and 1953, and again from 1954 to 1956. He later became the President of Finland in 1956 and served in that position for five terms until 1981, making him the longest-serving president in Finnish history. Kekkonen has been praised for his foreign policy, particularly in maintaining good relations with the Soviet Union while also strengthening Finland's ties with the West. He was a strong advocate for Finnish neutrality and worked to maintain Finland's independence and sovereignty.
