First described by Oligero Jacobeo in "Museum Regium seu catalogun rerum tam naturalium, quam artificialium, quae in basilica bibliothecae augistissimi daniae norvegiae q; monarche Chrsistiani qvinti", thus the catalog of King Christian V published in Hafniae (latin name for Copenhagen) in 1699. It is the first medal the authors lists under Christian V reign. On the reverse at 6:00 are two French hallmarks "crab".
