WORLD COINS, USA Buffalo Nickel 1916/16, Double Die Obverse, km134. One of the most sought after & rare varieties of the Buffalo series, especially in high grade. This is a stunning example with only light wear to the high points. There is a small rim nick by the smaller feather on the Obv & some very light surface verdigris spots. These do not detract from the overall eye appeal of the coin with some underlying lustre still present. Well struck with the doubling very clear in the date & notable in the feathers, under the chin & along the brow. This example was discovered in an accumulation of world coins consigned to Mowbray Collectables in 2024. EF
