CHINA, Republic (1912-1949), AR dollar, n.d. (1923), President Tsao Kun. Ref.: Kann, 677.
Extremely Fine - Uncirculated Mint State
This and the next piece were struck to commemorate the election of marshal Tsao Kun as president of China and the passing of the Chinese Constitution. A year later, Tsao Kun was forced out and remained imprisoned by general Feng Yü-hsiang until April 1926. Though without any denomination, both pieces could circulate as dollars.
