Variety of the narrow-mouthed dragon.

1898 was the second year of coin production by Fengtien Province and the first year in which it denominated its coins in yuan, rather than using the Kuping Mace/Candareen standard, although this standard was used again from 1903.

Attractive coin in about uncirculated condition. Graded AU58 by NGC.
