The Oriental Bank Corporation, Hong Kong, proof for $50, ca.1850s, Victoria, 'Series 3', orange, printed on card paper, lion at left and unicorn at right supporting arms at upper centre, 'FIFTY' with 'VICTORIA' and 'HONG KONG' at upper left and right, bank title and denomination in Chinese within borders, printed by Batho & Co, London,(Pick 263 for type, KNB-15), PMG 63, with 'Specimen' overprint and previously mounted. A very rare and advanced coloured proof for the time. This colour was later used for the issued Oriental Bank $25. Great item and superbly rare.
