Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26mm, 17.17 g 7), Tarsos, c. 327-323. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lionskin headdress. Rev. Zeus seated left on backless throne, holding eagle in his right hand and lotos tipped scepter in his left; to left, plow; below throne, bunch of grapes; above strut, pellet. Price 3026. An attractive toned example. About extremely fine.
