CEYLON•GOVERNMENT: around value '48' / ST within pearl circle. KM 78. Pridmore 4. Very rare with elephant standing to right. The reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, extremely fine.

This very rare variety was reportedly only struck between February and June 1803.
