L&M-29; K-223; KM-Pn304; WS-0040; Wenchao-105 (rarity: ★★★). Unadopted Variety with Outer Leaves Veined. In a collection brimming with RARITIES, this Long Whisker Dollar stands as perhaps the highest peak, coupling beauty in design, with RARITY and numismatic importance. Arising from the final year of the over 250-year Qing Dynasty, this Pattern represents a final attempt at a unified Qing coinage. The specimen surfaces are technically executed at an extremely advanced level, with the fine engraving of Luigi Giorgi boldly laid upon the flan. Once the near-Gem grade level is reached, a new level of elusiveness is unlocked, with a mere four examples in this grade, and only one example surpassing this one at PCGS.
