Michael VII Ducas, 1071-1078. Miliaresion (Silver, 18 mm, 1.17 g, 5 h), Class IV, Constantinople. IC XC Christ Pantokrator enthroned facing. Rev. Θ KE R, Θ, MIXAHΛ ΔECΠOTH/ T ΔOVK in four lines. DOC 11a. SB 1875A. Rare and interesting. Previously pierced and clipped during the ancient times, otherwise, fine.
Interesting enough the majority of these coins were pierced with care and treated as pendants, proved by the fact that the hole is always done in accordance with the depiction of the obverse.
