CELTIC, Pannonia. Uncertain tribe. Circa 2nd century BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 9.88 g, 3 h), "Liegende Acht" type, having as prototype the silver tetradrachms of Philip II of Macedon. Celtisized, laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. Youth on horseback to left; four pellets before the neck of the horse and another one bellow it's belly. Göbl, OTA PL 14, 147/9 (same dies). Lanz 435 (same dies). A particularly attractive and clear example. Very fine.
