Karttikeya standing facing, holding spear in his right hand; at his feet, rooster standing right. Rev. Devasena standing facing, head turned slightly to left, extending her right hand; in field to left, cockle-shell; in field to right, nandipanda. An attractive and unusually complete example. Good very fine.
The Yaudheya were a dreaded tribe of warriors who worshipped Karttikeya, the Hindu god of war, who is depicted on the obverse of this coin.
