Honorius, with Theodosius II, 395-423. Exagium Solidi (Bronze, 13x12 mm, 4.45 g), 408-423. Crowned, diademed and draped facing busts of Honorius, on the left, and Theodosius II, smaller and on the right; between them above, a cross. Rev. Blank. Bendall -. CPAI -. MAH 368 = Pondera 4232. Very rare and unusually attractive. Minor edge chipping on the sheet metal, otherwise, good very fine.
The two emperors on this piece are likely Honorius, the senior Augustus in the West, and the junior Augustus Theodosius II, who ruled in the East.
