BOEOTIA. Orchomenos. Circa 385-375 BC. Stater (Silver, 25 mm, 12.00 g). Boeotian shield. Rev. O-X/E-P Amphora; above, EYΔ; to upper right, vertical wheat ear; all within shallow incuse. BCD Boiotia 221 (this coin). Imhoof-Blumer, Boeotien, pl. I, 83 (same reverse die). Rare. A beautifully toned piece with a lovely old pedigree. The obverse struck somewhat off center and with some roughness, otherwise, good very fine.
