Apparently unique and unpublished save for its previous auction appearance. Slightly rough and the obverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, good very fine.

What makes this coin particularly interesting is that it was struck from the same reverse die as lot 1100 above. This not only connects the SALVS GENERIS HVMANI type to the PACI P R issue, but it also attests the concurrent use of dies for both plated and solid silver coins. Furthermore, the obverse type with the clasped hands holding a caduceus links the coin to lot 1122 below and thus provides a connection to the 'SIGNA P R Group'. The type is originally derived from Spanish prototypes (see lots 1023-1024 above).
