A VITELLIVS IMP GERMA[N] Laureate head of Vitellius to left, small globe at point of bust. Rev. VICTORIA AVGVSTI Victory advancing left, holding shield inscribed S P / Q R in two lines. BMC 94 var. (with palm before bust). Cohen 101 var. (with palm before bust). RIC 36 var. (with palm before bust). An extremely rare variety. Darkly toned and with a very distinct portrait. Somewhat rough, otherwise, good very fine.
