CARPATHIAN REGION. Uncertain tribe. Circa 3rd century BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24 mm, 12.93 g, 9 h), 'W-Reiter' type, imitating Philip II of Macedon. Celticized laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. Celticized horseman to left, raising his right arm; to left, two short lines; above, W-like ornament. Dembski 1260-1. Flesche 677. Lanz 671. OTA 332/1. The obverse struck slightly off center and with light deposits, otherwise, very fine.
