INDIA, INDIAN IMITATION. Late 2nd-mid 3rd century. AV (22mm, 6.56 g, 12h). Roman/Sasanian hybrid. bare head of Marcus Aurelius right / Fire altar with ribbons; attendants flanking. Cf. RIC III 422 (Pius; for obv.) and cf. SNS III Type Ia1/3 (for rev). Toned, deposits in devices, areas of weak strike. VF. Contemporary ornate tubular mount attached.
