SELEUCID KINGDOM. Antiochus III the Great (222-187 BC). AR tetradrachm (30mm, 12h). NGC Choice VF, flan flaw. Uncertain Mint 71, perhaps Seleucia on the Tigris or a subsidiary, from 204 BC. Diademed head of Antiochus III right with godlike, idealized features, tousled hair, break in bangs, small horn above ear, thick diadem ends waving upward; dotted border / BAΣIΛEΩΣ / ANT-IOXOY, Apollo seated left on omphalus, testing arrow in right hand, left hand on grounded bow behind; ME monogram in outer left field.
