Previously listed under Erfurt, this Taler, which with smaller variations was also minted in a.o. Hildesheim and Erfurt, celebrates the Swedish / Protestant victory at Breitenfeld 1631 during the Thirty Years' War. The mintmaster's mark, the Astrological symbol for the planet Mercury, can be seen on the reverse under the date 'MDCXXXI'.
