This rare one-year type boasts lovely surfaces surpassing its numeric grade. The star in the obverse legend is the mintmaster's mark. Remnants of red wax indicates this coin was possibly plated in a previous sale.

Nürnberg, or Nuremberg, was like so many other German cities conquered by the Swedish army in 1632. Ducats (including multiples) and Talers were minted in that year alone.
