Struck during the siege of Osnabrück by the Swedish army under the command of Axel Oxenstierna and Gustav Horn. The city changed from Catholic to Protestant hands several time during the Thirty Years' War and would at the Westphalian Peace in 1648 be recognized as bi-confessional Lutheran and Catholic. While this is a German issue we retain the Bruun order of coins in the sales.
