Attractive 10 Rigsdaler Courant on Blue Paper
DENMARK. Exchange & Mortgage Bank. 10 Rigsdaler Courant, 1792. PMG Very Fine 30.
Pick-A30. Rønning-S36. Sieg-41. Bruun-29. Blue paper. A better denomination. Stains mentioned by the grading service are minimal and don't impact the strong paper quality seen on this note. A denomination surely missing from even the most advanced collections of Denmark. PMG Comments "Stains."
While the 10 Rigsdaler represented considerable purchasing power when it was first issued, the constant printing of notes and associated hyperinflation caused the real value of these to go down over time. No notes were printed in 1790, but in 1792 a fairly large number of 127,800 were produced.
