Extremely Rare Highest Denomination on Blue Paper
DENMARK. Exchange & Mortgage Bank. 100 Rigsdaler Courant, 1794. PMG Very Fine 25.
Pick-A32. Rønning-S34. Sieg-43. Bruun-35. The highest denomination of this series printed in blue paper. Some splits and fairly typical annotations are seen, but this type is so rare that we doubt they will be much of a distraction. Otherwise, the paper quality is quite strong. This is the finest example out of four in the PMG population report for this type for all dates combined (PMG, unfortunately, does not differentiate the different dates in its population report). PMG Comments "Splits, Annotations."
Print totals for this type, issued with dates between 1785 and 1798, steadily increased during that period. The 1794 date seen here had a total output of 57,600 notes.
