Unprecedent 100 Rigsbankdaler Dated 1813 - An Extremely Rare Offering in Any Grade
DENMARK. Rigsbank. 100 Rigsbankdaler, 1813. PMG Very Fine 30.
Pick-A52. Sieg-39. Bruun-63. An intricate design is seen, which was meant as an (unsuccessful) deterrent against counterfeits. The finer of only two examples in the PMG population report. Some pinholes are seen but they are very minor and not distracting at all. The paper is otherwise fresh, the pen elements are vibrant, and the eye appeal is exceptional. PMG Comments "Pinholes."
As the highest denomination of the 1813 series of the Rigsbanken this is a rarity seldom offered in any grade. Only a handful examples are known to exist.
