DENMARK. Aalborg. Enevold Lauritzen. 4 Skilling, 1811. PMG Very Fine 20.
Pick-Unlisted. FGN-235. Bruun-89. Middle denomination of what is believed to have been the first issue of Enevold Lauritzen, a gardener in Aalborg who owned a nursery. Fairly well-printed, with even circulation, and entirely problem-free. The only other example listed in Finn Grandt-Nielsen is in the Silkeborg Museum.
The issues of Enevold Lauritzen are interesting because some lower denominations were allegedly raised to 1 Mark, a denomination that was never issued.
