Quatrefoil (BMC viii) type; S-1157; North-781; Hild-3727; SCBI Cop-4068 (plate coin); Bruun-1000. Weight: 0.91 gms. Moneyer: Cunna. A wonderful example with a perfect even strike, soft luster and a fine gun-metal grey toning.
The Hampshire city of Winchester was one of the most important mints during the reign of Cnut, whose mortuary chest can still be seen in Winchester Cathedral.
