Very Rare and Historically Important Double Hvid
NORWAY. Double Hvid, ND (1523-24). Oslo Mint. Hans Mule. NGC VF Details - Environmental Damage.
Galster-165; Sieg-3; NMD-1; Schive-XV:24-26; Schou-1; Bruun-9264. Weight: 1.24 gms. Very rare and historically interesting.
This highly debased issue was minted during the Interregnum from 1523 to 1524 by Hans Mule, the headsman of the fortress Akershus. Although Mule also functioned as the bishop of Oslo, he was known as a lecher and a violent tyrant.
