Most Handsome and Extremely Rare Double Taler

Dav-3591; KM-46; Hede-15; Sieg-25; NMD-38; Aagaard-40.2 (53-2/53-2); Schou-17; Bruun-9659. Weight: 57.26 gms. Mintmaster: Frederik Grüner. A most handsome and problem free piece with unusually fine details, demonstrated for instance by the mane of the lion. Extremely rare.
This is one of the relatively few examples where L.E. Bruun already owned an example superior in condition to a smilar one acquired from Bille-Brahe or Guildal. The Bille Brahe example, later in the Hede collection was sold in the 1925 Bruun sale of duplicates (Lot# 2404, illustrated).
