With only one example of the 10 Daler 1644 in private hands, the famous 8 Daler is not only the largest collectable plate money but actually the largest circulating coin the world has ever seen and has for that reason always ranked among the most coveted Scandinavian coin of all. Tingström knew of 24 examples with most being in public collections around the world.
