California Gold Rush gold nugget, 0.83 gram, NGC (SS Central America California Gold Rush Nugget Label). A more or less teardrop-shaped, 5/8" nugget of natural gold with traces of original quartz matrix in crevices but otherwise smooth as having tumbled in rivers and streams for eons until recovered by a Gold Rush panner and then lost again on this famous shipwreck.
