Terms of Sale

1. Lots will open at 80% of the estimates stated in the catalogue. No bids
under this limit will be accepted.
2. Goods subject to sale in the margin. The hammer price is the basis for the
calculation of the buyer´s premium. Buyers from Germany and
EU-countries will be charged a premium of 23%; the relevant VAT is
already included in this amount. Buyers from countries outside the EU
will be charged a premium of 17,5%. As far as these buyers export the
goods in person or by a third party the relevant VAT will be charged but
refunded after receiving the legal export certificate. In case that we export
the goods the relevant VAT will not be charged. Bidders are responsible
for respecting customs laws of the countries of destination of the lots.
3. Goods subject to tax in full. In exceptional cases the lots are subject to
taxation in full; these lotnumbers will be indicated in a list in the
catalogue. In these cases the buyer´s premium on the hammer price is
17,5% plus the relevant VAT on the entire amount of hammer price, buyer´s
premium and additional costs (f.e. shipping costs).
4. Bidders can submit written bids with the enclosed bid sheet. If you are
bidding in our auction sale for the first time, please give us the name of
another dealer that knows you well as a reference.
5. Changes made after the printing of the catalogue are reflected in our
online-catalogue on our website at www.gmcoinart.de/online_catalogue.
6. Payment may be made in cash, by valid check, bank/post wire or credit
card (VISA, American Express, MasterCard). For payment by credit card
a fee of 3.5% will be added. Bank charges of 15 € will occur in case of
payment by foreign check or bank wire.
7. The best way to take part in our auctions is to attend in person. Up to the
time of sale and even between the sessions you will be able to view the
lots at your leisure.
8. The lots are sold as viewed. Returns are not permitted. Also for this
reason your personal attendance at our auction is recommended.
9. For the shipment of the coins a charge for postage, insurance and packing
will be added. For bigger shipments the charge will increase accordingly.
10. Any loss by mail is covered by our own insurance.
11. A subscription for four catalogues costs 45 €. Would you like to
subscribe to our catalogues please credit the appropriate amount to our
Postbank account. The price for a single catalogue is 15 €.
12. The conditions of sale at the end of the catalogue will be used as
guidelines in case of dispute.
