Terms of Sale

• “Rimon” auction house (hereby called “Rimon”) acts as an extension on behalf of the sellers of the items being offered in auction.

• “Rimon” reserves the right to add or remove items due to changes submitted after the catalogues completion and distribution. “Rimon” also reserves the rights to update details of existing items on sale.

• Descriptions appearing in the catalogue are for informational purposes only and reflect the best understanding of the auction house. The descriptions are not to be viewed as coming from an official authority and the details in the description are not guaranteed. The auction house is not responsible for any difference between the description given and the physical state of the item.

• The prices appearing in the catalogue are minimum bidding prices and due not constitute an estimate of the final price.

• The items are sold “as is” and the auction house is not responsible for the state or quality of the item.

• Information about the products origin or manufacturer is provided by the auction house in its role as an extension of the seller, and is based both on information provided by the seller and the expertise of the auction house personnel. If essentially flawed information was provided, the buyer has the right to return the items within 10 days of the sale date (not payment date), on the condition that the buyer present documents from a recognized professional authority confirming his claims. We emphasize that this clause pertains only to flaws essential to the valuation of the item, such that its true value is significantly lower than that that inferred from the giving description.

• The sales manager is the sole authority allowed to determine the winner of the auction, cancel the sale of an item (before or after its sale) or to re-auction an item previously up for bidding, at his sole discretion.

• In order to participate in a bid or post a pre-bid offer the buyer must pre-register to “Rimon” website through “bidspirit”. Registration is not complete before the buyer has received a registration conformation.

• In case of a tie, the bidder who submitted hos offer first is the winner of the auction.
• The bidding will take place in US dollars. The payment will be made in shekels according to the representative dollar exchange rate set by the Bank of Israel at the end of the day of the sale.

• A 20% commission (plus VAT) will be added to the final price. The payment must be made no later than 10 days after the sale date or the win may be invalidated.

• The following methods of payment are accepted:
• Cash- Shekels.
• Israeli credit cards (Shekel payments) – Visa, Diners, MasterCard and IsraCard – up to 1 payment and up to 5000$.
• International credit cards: Visa, Diners, Mastercard or IsraCard. The charge will be in shekels + 3.5% commission – up to 1 payment and up to 5000$.
• Paypal + 5% commission, including “hammer” price, commission and VAT. The payment may be made in Dollars or Shekels.
• Bank transfer – shekels.

• By purchasing an item, The buyer commits to receive the item bought and to complete all payments to which the buyer has committed no later than 10 days from the date of sale (whether by delivery agreement or by personal collection of the item). Any delay will incur storage and insurance charges of 20 shekels (5$ US) per day, as well as a late fee of 2% per month, US inflation adjusted, from last date of payment (10 days from the sales date) till the date the payment is received.

• The buyer of an item, whether for himself or on another’s behalf, hereby agrees to be responsible for the payment and reception of the item. The sales manager reserves the right to insure payment by any means, including but not limited to cancelation of the sale, sale of the item purchased to a different buyer, charge the buyer for expensed incurred including late fees and inflation, take legal action or delay the release of the item into the hands of the buyer.

• “Rimon” ships in Israel and internationally, the price of the shipment is determine according to size and weight of the item or items shipped (items may be consolidated to a single shipment).Insurance is the responsibility of the seller. Any additional payment in the destination country such as customs and VAT are the responsibility of the seller.

• The only legal arbitrator in any disagreement to do with the purchase or delivery of items between the auction house and its costumers is the Tel Aviv court.

Errors and omissions excepted
