Submitting a bid implies the full and unconditional agreement with the below conditions.

The sale is strictly in euro. Cash payment in euro is restricted to 3.000 €. If there are no higher written bids, the starting price is 80 % of the estimation. The buyer's premium charged on the hammer price is 20 %, with a supplement of 3 % for all lots bought through the live bidding system or by telephone during the auction. Postage and insurance costs, custom duties and taxes due abroad are at the buyer's charge. Every potential buyer must register prior to the auction by filing and signing a bid sheet and must also show a valid identity document. Every buyer is personally liable for his purchases. He cannot claim to act for a third person. An additional charge of 1,5 % a month in interest will be added for unpaid purchases 20 days after the auction date, with a minimum of 50 €. The auction item remains the property of the consignor until the auction invoice has been paid in full. The sale will proceed in the order of the numbers of this catalogue. The auctioneer is entitled to refuse bids, to group, separate or omit lots. The bidder accepts the above conditions of sale by verbal or written orders. The description, the grading and the defects have been given with great care and in good faith. The authenticity is guaranteed unconditionally, unless otherwise stated. All lots can be viewed in our office several weeks before the auction. No lot bought can be returned afterwards without written permission of the auctioneer. Any claim must be made within 5 days of receipt of the lots. Difference of grading by a third party grading institution (« grading company ») does not give grounds for returning a lot. Coins that have been encapsulated (« slabbed ») by a grading institution (« grading company ») may not be returned for any reason. All multiple coin lots are sold as they are composed when auctioned and may not be returned for any reason. The auction will be supervised by bailiff J. Petitjean, Brussels. Should any legal action arise, the Court in Brussels has exclusive juridiction for both parties. Only the French text of these conditions of sale has legal force.

All clients who intend to place absentee bids are kindly requested to submit them at latest 5 PM the day before the auction day (Central European Time). We cannot guarantee the right execution of bids received just before or during the auction. The bidders are kindly requested to respect the subjoined table while making their bids. The auctioneer will have the right to adjust an intermediate bid to the inferior one according to the table (e.g. 196 € will be treated as 190 €). In case of several identical bids the lot will be alloted to the earliest one. Because of the inherent problems of internet the auctioneer can never be held responsible for the non-reception of an electronic bidding (electronic bid form or e-mail). The bidders are requested to confirm their bids by post, by e-mail or by fax at least 24 hours before the date of the auction. Bids from unknown persons will not be accepted unless a cash deposit has been given or after the communication of references that are trustworthy to the auctioneer. The auctioneer is not obliged to respect unlimited bids. Bidding by telephone during the auction is possible with the consent of the auctioneer and is strictly reserved on lots estimated 500 € and more. The bought lots will be handed over or sent after receipt of full payment of the purchase price. Deliveries for values less than 1000 € (500€ for shipments outside EU at the exception of China) will be done by postal services. Deliveries for higher values (more than 1000 €) will be taken care of by a private company (FedEx authorization).
